A Little About the Explorium

7th Street Explorium is a locally owned indoor play space in Indiana, PA, designed to support young children through hands-on, child-led exploration. Our space offers a stimulating, creative environment where kids are free to move, imagine, build, and discover at their own pace.
We created the Explorium not just as a place for play—but as a place for parents, too. Parenting is one of the most challenging jobs there is. It’s messy, unpredictable, and different at every stage. We don’t believe in perfection here. We believe in showing up, in shared experience, and in the power of having a space where both kids and caregivers can feel seen, supported, and welcome.
Whether you come for a casual weekday visit or to celebrate a special occasion, we hope the Explorium feels like a soft landing spot—a place for laughter, curiosity, and connection.
GENERAL ADMISSION IS $10 per visit and there is no time limit.

Frequently Asked Questions
Where should I park?
You can park using metered parking (with change or the city's parking app) on 7th Street, Philadelphia Street, or in the parking garage located behind our building. All of these parking options are subject to the rules of the Indiana Parking Authority.
Can I rent out the Explorium?
Yes, you can rent out the Explorium after hours Wed-Sun from 4-7 by booking an Open Play Party and paying upfront at time of booking.
Can we play all day?
Yes, you can play from the time you check in until the time we close (3pm) Wed-Sun.
What is your policy on outside food and drinks?
We are supportive of the businesses in our community and don't mind if you are bringing in snacks from other places. No alcoholic beverages are permitted. We do offer a full menu and our kitchen is open on all business days.
Which pass is the right one for me?
Ultimately the choice of pass is up to you, but we recognize these are the best formulas (so far):
1 child (or 1 child and a sibling under 1): 5 punch card
2 children over 1 year: unlimited monthly pass
3 children or more: family unlimited monthly pass
Do I have to take my shoes off?
In some sections of the Explorium it is recommended you take shoes off (gross motor play, imagination play area, jungle gym) and others you might want to keep them on (water play, slime, sand box). Ultimately it's up to your discretion. Many kids remove both their shoes and socks to play in all areas! We do mop and vacuum every day!
Do you have restrooms with changing tables?
Yes! While we offer a family-style restroom with a changing table, we know some guests may prefer more privacy. You're welcome to use the private stall restrooms in our neighboring restaurant—just let us know and we’ll happily guide you there.
